Our Lady of the Sign is an Eastern Catholic Church in union with the Patriarch of the West Pope Benedict XVI.

Our Liturgy is according to the Byzantine Rite or the Rite of Constantinople.

The Divine Liturgy is celebrated on Saturday at 5:00 P.M. and Sunday at 10:00 A.M. Confessions are one-half hour before the Liturgy and upon request. Religious Education is on Sunday at 9:00 A.M. Coffee and conversation follows the Sunday Liturgy. The Parish Guild meets on the second Sunday of each month after the Sunday Liturgy.

We are Catholics, but not Roman Catholics. We are Eastern Catholics. As Catholics, Eastern and Roman Catholics share the same faith and have the same seven Holy Mysteries or Sacraments. The difference is that Eastern Catholics have a different way or rite of expressing their Faith through their Liturgy and Traditions. Our Lady Of The Sign Church is blessed with the richness of the Eastern Catholic spirituality.

Most people, especially Catholics, are unaware that the Catholic Church is a communion of twenty-two ritual Churches, each with its own particular customs, laws, traditions and liturgy, united by the same Faith. The Roman Catholic Church, which is by far the largest of these twenty-two Churches, is the most prominent. The other twenty-one ritual Churches being significantly smaller than the Roman Catholic Church are not as well known. Our Lady Of The Sign is one of these twenty-one ritual Churches.

The Divine Liturgy is the offering of the Body and Blood of Christ and is the central act of worship. It is celebrated in many different ways. Language and wording have changed with time and locality. Today English is used in U.S. churches. The wording is based on the Eastern originals.

The visitor to an Eastern Catholic Church will experience a feast for the soul and the senses. Icons and incense, Golden Gospel Book, bows and blessings, and Holy Communion of bread and wine in the mystery of the sung liturgy.
