WE ARE BEING DESTROYED
BY THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE AND A MORON GOVERNOR
Our state is being destroyed by the Republican legislature. They are completely out of control and instead of moving Florida ahead they are tearing the state apart. All that was good about our state has been destroyed . Our children will be denied a good education because of the cuts to education. Teachers will have to be laid off in order for school districts to save money. Sports and other activities will be cut or curtailed. First responders such as fire and police must now pay into their own retirement, thus lowering their salaries. This is the way the Florida Legislature treats those that put their lives on the line every day to protect and save us from harm. We must use the power of the ballot box to remove them from office in the next election.
THIS IS WHAT THESE MORONS HAVE DONE TO YOU
1. There will less money for education and higher tuition rates for colleges and universities.
2. Our teachers' will have their salaries linked to standardized tests.
3. Our state workers' in the state pension plan will have to contribute part of the salary to the plan making their take home pay three percent less.
4. Poor people on welfare who have little money as it is will have to pay to be drug tested in order to receive their benefits. It is our opinion and the opinion of many Floridians that the legislators should be drug tested before they receive their paycheck which comes from our taxes.
5. People without a job will have to pay for the corporate tax cuts with their unemployment checks disappearing after 23 weeks or less.
6. Medicaid recipients will be put into HMOs which are profit driven. No one really knows if this will be cheaper or better.
7. Our prisons will be privatized at a seven percent cost savings coming on the backs of workers who will presumably work for less that state workers.
8. Voting will be harder along with registering to vote. There will be fewer days of early voting and many hassles will occur because of the changes.
9. The legislature has gutted our environmental growth-management rules. Water management districts will have their budgets slashed.
10. The legislature has been bought and sold by the insurance companies. Private insurers are allowed to raise premiums easier, and Citizens is hiking rates ten percent. Some legislators wanted to raise citizens twenty five percent.
11. Doctors will not be allowed to ask kids or parents about guns in their homes, but doctors will be compelled to offer ultrasounds to women who seek abortions. This, from legislators who say they hate government interfering in people's business.
When you add all of these things up the citizens of Florida have been screwed by a legislature and a moron governor that sold out to business. This was the worst session ever. I don't think gutting public schools, making it harder to vote, and paving paradise is what the Florida voters wanted. These things are not going to make life better for the people of Florida. Florida voters were promised jobs. These same voters are starting to ask where are these jobs that they were promised. More jobs have been lost since our new governor was elected than gained. Florida voters were duped again. It is time that we clean house in the next election. We can't let legislators get away with ruining our state by their incompetence and lack of caring. These Republican legislators and the moron governor just don't care. They don't care whether your kid gets a good education or whether you have to pay large increases to greedy insurance companies. These right wing conservatives worry more about a woman's uterus than they do about those in need in our state. The only way that we can stop these incompetent idiots is to vote them out of office in the next election.
THE CHIEF MORON
In the name of budget cuts, our moron governor and legislators will damage or destroy many environmental protections, and development safeguards, social services for children and seniors, our public schools, run off many of our best public servants, and cause harm that cannot be repaired for decades – if at all.
We doubt there's been a time when we've allowed our elected officials to so shamelessly pillage the public trust to benefit their buddies and campaign contributors as we're seeing now. They are bold and because the public is not screaming at them, they think it's the public will. They are so wrong and this will come back on them someday.
We elected a governor who somehow avoided prosecution for fraud and wouldn't answer questions about anything of substance. They watch as he dismantles social services for Floridians who need it. Meanwhile, he paves the ways for his rich friends to get even richer. It's good to be the governor's friends these days.
The people letting this happen will, at some point, need the services and environmental protections this Legislature and governor are tossing on the scrap heap. When this happens, they should have nothing to say because they are the ones who let this happen.
Floridians need to wake up right now and put a stop to this or shut up when the pain comes home to roost. We think too many people just listen to the sound bites provided them and don't ask questions because they are either ignorant, lazy or are being conned out of their socks.

The following list of Florida state senators that should not be re-elected when their next election comes up. Alexander, JD - Altman, Thad - Benacquisto, Lizbeth - Bennett, Michael - Bogdanoff, Ellyn Setnor - Dean, Charles S. - Detert, Nancy C. - Diaz de la Portilla, Miguel - Dockery, Paula - Evers, Greg - Fasano, Mike - Flores, Anitere - Gaetz, Don - Garcia, Rene - Gardiner, Andy - Haridopolos, Mike - Hays, Alan - Jones, Dennis - Latvala, Jack - Lynn, Evelyn J. - Negron, Joe - Norman, Jim - Oelrich, Steve - Richter, Garrett - Simmons, David - Storms, Ronda - Thrasher, John - Wise, Stephen R. They all are smug and think that they did a great job. They will find out in the next election that they all will be sent packing for the mean spirited way they treated the citizens of Florida. They think the voters will forget what they did to them. They are sadly mistaken. The voters will take their revenge out on them, by voting them out of office. We should also make sure that we as a state vote out the majority of Republican representatives. Most of these representatives are real knuckle draggers from Yahoo country. They are not living in the same century that we are. Using Scott's mantra — "Let's get to work" — let's get to work to elect different leaders. Just remember that "absolute power corrupts absolutely." Think of that when you vote in the next election.
